Fundamental principles along with regulatory and practical aspects of purifying water for drinking and treating wastewater for safe discharge or reuse. Engineering application of physical, chemical, and biological unit processes, designs, and operations for removal of impurities and pollutants; case studies from municipalities and process industries will be considered in detail. Credit will be granted for only one of CHBE_V 373 or CIVL_V 406.
