Theory and skills of writing major forms of Classical Chinese poetry, including regulated verse and song lyrics. Emphasis on application of poetry and rules to the writing of metrical poems and critique of classical Chinese poetry. Recommended pre-requisites: placement exam certificate and permission of the instructor.
